Necked and Cranked Brass Door Bolts

A necked bolt (also called a cranked bolt) has an offset in the barrel so the bolt can be fixed to a door that sits proud of, or rebated into, the frame. It is the correct choice for most rebated internal doors, casement doors and stable doors.

  • C1590 - 1 inch wide necked bolt, 2 to 6 inch lengths
  • C1592 - 1.25 inch wide necked bolt, 4 and 6 inch
  • C1594 - 1.5 inch wide heavy necked bolt, 6 inch
  • C1694 - necked flat bolt in 6 and 8 inch lengths

Finishes and materials

Products in this collection are made from solid brass and are available in Antique Brass, Matt Bronze, Polished Brass, Polished Chrome, Polished Nickel, Satin Brass, Satin Chrome and Satin Nickel. Polished Nickel is an uncoated finish with a warm golden hue that will develop a gentle patina unless buffed regularly with a soft cloth. Matt Bronze is an aged finish that will lighten naturally on edges and frequently touched areas, revealing the brass beneath over time. Antique Brass has russet hues over a brass undertone for a warm, mature look that suits period homes.
