Rustic Ironmongery with a Traditional British Look

Whether you're working on a period renovation, a countryside property, or fitting out a timber gate, our thumb latch sets and ring latch handles offer a timeless solution. These latch sets are ideal for internal or external ledged and braced doors where a mortice lock isn’t required.

Choose from weathered and hand-forged finishes like Antique Black, Beeswax, and Pewter—all chosen to give a rustic, traditional British look. These finishes complement our wider selection of Rustic Hinges, Door Furniture, and Architectural Ironmongery.

Ideal for Gates, Bathrooms & Barn Conversions

Popular in barn conversions, cottages, garden gates, and utility outbuildings, our latch sets come in both traditional thumb-lift and rotating ring mechanisms. They're simple to install, highly decorative, and include fixings. Many include a privacy pin or bar, making them a practical choice for bathrooms or cloakrooms too.

Looking for something authentic? We also supply Kirkpatrick Ironmongery—makers of true UK-made black iron latch sets, forged using traditional patterns.

Whether you’re after a heavy-duty thumb latch for a barn door, a surface-mounted gate latch with rustic character, or a full suite of matching hardware, our range is tailored for heritage and country projects.
