How to Measure Multipoint Door Handles

Accurate measurements are essential when choosing a replacement multipoint handle. The most important is the PZ measurement—the distance from the centre of the handle spindle to the centre of the keyhole. For most UK doors, this is 92mm, which is known as a 92PZ handle.

You’ll also need to check:

• Screw fixing centres, which vary depending on the manufacturer
• Backplate height and width, to ensure it will cover your existing holes or marks
• Spindle thickness and length, which must match your lock
