What Is a Rim Cylinder Pull?

A rim cylinder pull is a small, essential piece of external door hardware designed to work alongside a rim lock cylinder and a rim night latch (commonly referred to as a Yale lock). When mounted around the keyhole on the exterior side of the door, it provides a grip for pulling the door closed after entry or exit. Without it, closing the door securely from the outside can be awkward or unreliable.

This type of cylinder pull is most commonly installed on timber entrance doors and pairs perfectly with traditional rim night latches for added convenience and improved aesthetics.
