Solid Brass and Hand Forged Cabin Hooks
From The Anvil cabin hooks are designed for safely holding doors and windows open, and can also secure shutters, cupboards and more. There are solid brass and mild steel cabin hooks in 4", 6" and 8", Traditional cabin hooks in 4" and 6", and a cabin hook hand forged from mild steel using traditional fire and anvil techniques, in sizes from 4" up to 18".
Finishes include Polished, Satin and Aged Brass, Polished Nickel, Polished Chrome, Aged Bronze, Matt Black, Black, Pewter and External Beeswax, so the hook can match the From The Anvil door handles on the door. They are supplied with matching stainless steel wood screws.

Cabin Hooks: Questions
What size cabin hook do I need?
Measure the gap between the door or window and the wall or frame where the eye will sit, and choose a hook that spans it. Smaller 3" to 6" hooks suit windows and cupboards; longer forged hooks up to 18" suit doors and gates.
Can cabin hooks be used outside?
From The Anvil describes its cabin hooks as a design choice for internal and external doors, and describes its Black finish as ideal externally where damp conditions are expected.
