The From The Anvil Polished Brass Art Deco Euro Escutcheon is part of the From The Anvil escutcheons range. The Art Deco range combines timeless elegance with modern functionality. An extra layer of interest is added by the stepped backplate, its clean, geometric styling will offer a touch of sophistication to any door. Match the escutcheon to the lock type: a standard keyhole for lever mortice locks, or a euro escutcheon for euro cylinder locks.

Polished Brass Finish

Polished Brass is a simplistic, classic finish most synonymous with use in traditional period properties and interiors, yet works well paired with light colours and subtle textural details to achieve a luxurious, more modern aesthetic.

From The Anvil's Polished Brass products are manufactured from solid, unlacquered brass. Bright and reflective when polished, although as an unlacquered, 'living' finish it will continue to oxidise, meaning it will darken over time. If the product becomes too dark or tarnished, it can be polished to restore the brighter finish.

The Art Deco Euro Escutcheon is also made in Polished Bronze, Aged Bronze, Polished Chrome, Polished Nickel and Aged Brass.

Care and Maintenance

This finish will continue to oxidise and age as it is an unlacquered finish, meaning it will darken over time. If the product becomes tarnished or too dark, it can be restored to brighten the finish. From The Anvil recommends polishing with a dry cloth or alternatively using the From The Anvil 'Brasso' (73102), which assists with the cleaning of solid brass products.

An oily cloth can be used to wipe over the finish from time to time to remove any harmful deposits that build up on the surface of your product, this will also aid protection against any environmental elements.

To increase the mechanical life expectancy of your products, From The Anvil recommends regular oiling of all moving parts using the From The Anvil '3-in-1 Oil' (92337). This process is also highly recommended during initial installation.
