External Beeswax Window Handles for Damp Rooms

External Beeswax looks the same as standard Beeswax, with the same soft, natural look and subtle blue and deep red ochre tones preserved in the hand forged mild steel. The difference is the wax: after forging, each piece is dipped in a hot, anti-corrosive beeswax unique to From The Anvil, which gives excellent protection when fitted both internally and externally.

Standard Beeswax is for internal use only, and may show light surface rust in damp conditions. From The Anvil recommends External Beeswax wherever damp is expected, such as kitchen and bathroom windows, so you can keep the same traditional cottage look in those rooms. The window range is in the smooth, rounded Regency design.

How do I look after beeswax window furniture?

If a white bloom appears when you unpack it, caused by temperature changes or packaging, buff it off with a soft cloth. Re-apply a little From The Anvil Maintenance Wax from time to time with a cloth or brush, and oil moving parts with 3-in-1 Oil, including when you first fit them.
