From The Anvil Handrail Brackets

Traditional Stair Handrail Brackets

From The Anvil handrail brackets are a traditional bracket used to secure a handrail to a wall on a staircase or hallway. They are sold individually in three sizes, 2", 2.5" and 3", and supplied with matching stainless steel wood screws.

They are made in Black, Pewter and Beeswax, the same finishes as From The Anvil blacksmith door furniture, so the stairs can match the From The Anvil door handles and hinges nearby.

Handrail Brackets: Questions

Which size handrail bracket do I need?

The size sets how far the rail stands off the wall. The 3" bracket projects 89mm, with 78mm to the centre fixing; the smaller sizes sit closer to the wall. Each has a 50mm x 22mm fixing plate.

How many brackets do I need?

This depends on the length of the rail and any building regulations that apply to your stair. Ask your joiner or builder for the spacing, and contact us if you need help with quantities.
