The From The Anvil Burnished Brass Traditional Letterbox is part of the From The Anvil letter plates and flaps range. From The Anvil's door letterbox is supplied as a full kit and contains a tunnel and brushes to reduce draughts and insulate the door. The inner sleeve also protects the door from moisture and helps to mask the aperture cutting. From The Anvil recommends the From The Anvil door letterbox for composite and uPVC doors. Check the size of your existing letter plate cut out, or the space on a new door, before you order.

Hand forged from a base of solid brass, Burnished Brass is an excellent example of how the From The Anvil unique manufacturing techniques add further intrigue to the natural charm of the base material. Each product undergoes an accelerated ageing process, creating a dark patina before being placed into barrelling machines, giving them the beautiful burnished finish. During the final stages of manufacturing, a high quality, clear matt lacquer is applied for protection.

The Traditional Letterbox is also made in Aged Brass, Polished Chrome, Polished Nickel, Aged Bronze, Polished Marine SS (316), Satin Marine SS (316), Pewter Patina, Black, Matt Black, Polished Brass, Satin Brass and External Beeswax.

Care and Maintenance

From The Anvil advises against the use of chemicals, and other harsh cleaning products on this finish as it may affect the lacquer.

Products should be cleaned regularly with a soft cloth and wiped over with a wax-based furniture polish like the From The Anvil 'Maintenance Wax' (33002) to offer some protection.

To increase the mechanical life expectancy of your products, From The Anvil recommends regular oiling of all moving parts using the From The Anvil '3-in-1 Oil' (92337). This process is also highly recommended during initial installation.
