A From The Anvil pocket door kit creates a door that slides into a cavity in the wall when it opens, a good solution where there is no room for a hinged door to swing. The kits are designed for timber stud walls and come with cavity forming studs, sliding door hardware and full instructions.

There are two kits, for openings up to 915mm x 2032mm and 1200mm x 2400mm, both for doors 35mm to 44mm thick and up to 90kg. Add a soft close device, a push to open touch latch, or a sliding door locking kit with thumbturn and emergency coin release.

What does the soft close device do?

From The Anvil says it slows the door down over the last 110mm of travel for a gentle close. It is designed for its pocket door kits, on doors at least 686mm wide.

Can a pocket door be locked?

Yes. The From The Anvil sliding door locking kit has a turn and release thumbturn with an emergency coin release, supplied with all fixings, dust socket and spindle.
