Polished Nickel is a bright, reflective finish with a warmth that cooler chrome does not have. From The Anvil applies a single plating to solid brass, leaving subtle brassy undertones that suit both contemporary and traditional rooms.

Most designs come on a round rose or a square rose, with a plain, beehive or stepped Art Deco rose to choose from, and in sprung or unsprung versions. Lever handles on rose work with a tubular latch, sash lock, euro lock or bathroom lock, so pair them with a matching escutcheon or bathroom thumbturn in the same finish.

What is the difference between polished nickel and chrome?

Both are bright and reflective. Polished Nickel has a single plating on solid brass, which gives warm, slightly golden undertones, while Polished Chrome is cooler in tone.

Should I choose sprung or unsprung?

Sprung handles have a strong spring built into the boss, which helps the lever return to level, and suit heavier levers or latches with a light spring. Unsprung handles rely on the spring in the latch or lock. If you are unsure, ask us before you order.
