A sliding or pocket door cannot use an ordinary latch, so it needs a lock made for sliding doors. From The Anvil sliding door locks are designed for use with its sliding door privacy pull handles, so a pocket door to a bathroom or bedroom can be locked from the inside.

They have a 50mm backset, a 145mm x 20mm face plate and a 90mm x 20mm strike plate, and come in Aged Bronze, Polished Bronze, PVD Brass, Polished Chrome, Polished Nickel, Satin Stainless Steel and Matt Black.
