Small Letter Boxes for Narrow Door Rails

The small letter plate suits front doors where the rail is too narrow for a full size plate, or where you want a neater letterbox. From The Anvil letter plates are fitted to the outside face of a solid door with matching 70mm threaded bolts and dome headed caps. A matching letter plate cover goes on the inside to limit draughts.

Small letter plates are about 252mm to 266mm long, depending on the finish. Each finish has a matching small letter plate cover for the inside of the door, fixed with stainless steel wood screws.

What size is the small letter plate?

It is about 252mm to 266mm long, depending on the finish, with an opening of about 200mm. Check the product page for the exact plate, opening and fixing centre sizes before cutting the door.

Do I need the matching cover?

It is not essential, but the small letter plate cover fits on the inside of the door to limit draughts and gives the opening a neat finish.
