About the Avon Design

Our Avon lever handles are our signature design and are extremely popular for their simplicity. The lever is hammered into shape by hand, giving it a contemporary yet individual edge. See the full From The Anvil Avon range, or compare this rose with square rose door handles.

Polished Brass Finish

Polished Brass is a simplistic, classic finish most synonymous with use in traditional period properties and interiors, yet works well paired with light colours and subtle textural details to achieve a luxurious, more modern aesthetic.

Our Polished Brass products are manufactured from solid, unlacquered brass. Bright and reflective when polished, although as an unlacquered, 'living' finish it will continue to oxidise, meaning it will darken over time. If the product becomes too dark or tarnished, it can be polished to restore the brighter finish.

Other Finishes

This Avon Round Lever on Rose Set (Square) is also available in Aged Brass, Aged Bronze, Black, External Beeswax, Polished Bronze, Polished Chrome, Polished Marine SS (316), Polished Nickel and Satin Marine SS (316). See every finish in From The Anvil door handles on rose.

Care & Maintenance

This finish will continue to oxidise and age as it is an unlacquered finish, meaning it will darken over time. If the product becomes tarnished or too dark, it can be restored to brighten the finish. We recommend polishing with a dry cloth or alternatively using our 'Brasso' (73102), which assists with the cleaning of solid brass products.

An oily cloth can be used to wipe over the finish from time to time to remove any harmful deposits that build up on the surface of your product, this will also aid protection against any environmental elements.

To increase the mechanical life expectancy of your products, we recommend regular oiling of all moving parts using our '3-in-1 Oil' (92337). This process is also highly recommended during initial installation.

Matching Hardware

Complete the door with From The Anvil escutcheons, bathroom thumbturns and hinges, and match it on doors with locks using brass door handles on backplate. Prefer an unsprung version? See unsprung door handles on rose.
