Carlisle Brass Finger Plates (also known as push plates) protect door surfaces in high-traffic areas and provide a neat, professional finish. This collection focuses on durable, easy-to-coordinate designs for domestic and commercial projects, helping entrances stay smart and consistent.

What are Carlisle Brass finger plates?

They are slim rectangular door plates fitted to the push side of the door to reduce fingerprints, scuffs and day-to-day wear. Typical sizes include 300 × 75 mm (12" × 3") and 350 mm high variants, with detailed styles also available to match traditional or contemporary schemes.

Finishes for every project

Trade Door Handles is part of T.H. Wiggans Ironmongery Ltd, a family-run business that has supplied architectural hardware across the UK since 1976. Based in Kendal for almost 50 years, we have built a reputation for reliability, expert advice, and quality products, serving both local customers and nationwide projects.

Our connection with Carlisle Brass is unique. We were among the first to supply their products when they launched in 1986, and today we continue to place daily orders directly with them. With our second showroom and distribution base on Kingstown Industrial Estate in Carlisle, just a short distance from Carlisle Brass HQ, we are the only UK retailer that can truly claim to be their local supplier.

From our Kendal location, we’ve served the Lake District and surrounding areas since 1976 — including Windermere, Ambleside, Penrith, Barrow, and the Yorkshire Dales.
