Beeswax and External Beeswax Lever Handles on Backplate

Beeswax is From The Anvil's most traditional finish. Each handle is hand forged from mild steel, and the subtle blue and deep red ochre tones in the metal are preserved by dipping it in hot beeswax. The result is a soft, natural finish that suits older homes, cottages and oak doors.

For doors that face the weather, choose External Beeswax. It looks the same as Beeswax but is dipped in an anti-corrosive beeswax unique to From The Anvil, so it can be used inside and out. Choose lock door handles for a sash lock or deadlock, latch door handles for a tubular latch, bathroom door handles with a built-in turn, euro lock door handles for a euro cylinder, or multipoint door handles for uPVC and composite doors.

Can I use Beeswax door handles on an external door?

For an external door, choose the External Beeswax version. It has the same look as Beeswax but is dipped in an anti-corrosive beeswax, so it can be used inside and outside.

How do I look after beeswax door handles?

A Beeswax handle may show a white bloom when first unpacked, which buffs off with a soft cloth. From The Anvil recommends re-applying a little of its Maintenance Wax from time to time with a cloth or brush for extra protection.
