What size hinge does an internal door need?

Most internal doors are hung on 3" or 4" butt hinges. From The Anvil ball bearing butt hinges come in both sizes, and From The Anvil recommends a pair and a half (three hinges) for heavier doors.

Are the brass ball bearing hinges solid brass?

From The Anvil makes its ball bearing butt hinges from grade 304 stainless steel with a plated finish to match its brass products. The small 2" and 2 1/2" butt hinges are solid brass.
