Brighton Fasteners for Sash Windows

A Brighton fastener is a traditional screw-type sash window fastener. The keep is fitted to the bottom rail of the top sash, and the fastener on the bottom sash screws down into it when the window is closed, pulling the meeting rails together.

From The Anvil makes its Brighton fasteners with a choice of radiused plates or narrow square plates, and the narrow version suits slim meeting rails, including uPVC sliding sash windows. The knob comes in Beehive, Brompton, Mushroom and Prestbury designs to match the door and cabinet knobs in each range. A sash window is usually finished with a fastener on the meeting rails and a pair of sash lifts on the bottom rail, with locking sash stops if you need to restrict opening.
