Aged Bronze and Polished Bronze Lever Handles on Rose

From The Anvil bronze internal door handles are made from solid bronze with a minimum of 85% copper. Aged Bronze is dark and matt with warm undertones, like an antique bronze, while Polished Bronze is aged and repolished for bright surfaces with a darker patina in the detail. Both are lacquered.

Most designs come on a round rose or a square rose, with a plain, beehive or stepped Art Deco rose to choose from, and in sprung or unsprung versions. Lever handles on rose work with a tubular latch, sash lock, euro lock or bathroom lock, so pair them with a matching escutcheon or bathroom thumbturn in the same finish.

What is the difference between aged bronze and polished bronze?

Aged Bronze is dark and matt with warm undertones. Polished Bronze is aged and then repolished, so it is bright and reflective with a darker patina in the details. Both are solid bronze.

Should I choose sprung or unsprung?

Sprung handles have a strong spring built into the boss, which helps the lever return to level, and suit heavier levers or latches with a light spring. Unsprung handles rely on the spring in the latch or lock. If you are unsure, ask us before you order.
