From The Anvil Bronze Door Knobs

Aged Bronze and Polished Bronze Mortice and Rim Knobs

Bronze door knobs bring a deep, warm tone to oak doors, painted doors and period interiors. From The Anvil makes two bronze finishes: Aged Bronze, dark and matt, and Polished Bronze, bright and reflective.

Bronze knobs come in Brompton on four rose styles, Heavy Beehive, Mushroom, Hammered Mushroom, Oval and the Georgian Prestbury, Elmore, Brockworth and Tewkesbury. Most designs are mortice/rim knob sets, supplied as loose parts so you can build them to suit your door: use both roses for a mortice knob on a mortice latch or lock, or one rose for a rim knob on a rim lock. The majority of From The Anvil mortice and rim knobs are unsprung, so they rely on the spring in the lock or latch to return the knob. Check each product page, and From The Anvil recommends a 3, 4 or 5 inch heavy duty latch or lock.

Bronze Door Knobs: Questions

What is the difference between Aged Bronze and Polished Bronze?

Aged Bronze is dark and matt, while Polished Bronze is bright and reflective. Compare them in the From The Anvil finish guide.

Will Polished Bronze change over time?

From The Anvil says bronze will naturally darken over time, and Polished Bronze can be restored with a beeswax based furniture polish.
