From The Anvil Chrome Door Knobs

Polished Chrome and Satin Chrome Mortice and Rim Knobs

Chrome door knobs suit contemporary homes and crisp, white or grey painted doors. From The Anvil plates its chrome on solid brass. Polished Chrome has a cool, very high sheen, and Satin Chrome is brushed for a softer, understated look.

Polished Chrome knobs come in Brompton on four rose styles, Heavy Beehive, Mushroom, Hammered Mushroom, Oval and the Georgian Prestbury, Elmore, Brockworth and Tewkesbury. Satin Chrome is made in the Heavy Beehive. Most designs are mortice/rim knob sets, supplied as loose parts so you can build them to suit your door: use both roses for a mortice knob on a mortice latch or lock, or one rose for a rim knob on a rim lock. The majority of From The Anvil mortice and rim knobs are unsprung, so they rely on the spring in the lock or latch to return the knob. Check each product page, and From The Anvil recommends a 3, 4 or 5 inch heavy duty latch or lock.

Chrome Door Knobs: Questions

What is the difference between chrome and polished nickel?

Both are plated onto solid brass. Polished Chrome has a cooler, very high sheen, while From The Anvil applies a single plating for Polished Nickel, so warm, brassy undertones show through.

Polished or satin chrome?

Polished Chrome is bright and reflective. Satin Chrome is brushed and understated, and From The Anvil makes it in the Heavy Beehive knob.
