From The Anvil Espagnolette Window Fasteners

Espagnolette Window Handles for Espag Windows

An espagnolette handle turns a spindle that drives the espagnolette gearbox and locking points inside the window. From The Anvil espag handles have slim fixing plates, so they can be fitted to most window types, including timber and uPVC, and they lock by way of a grub screw.

They come in Peardrop, Monkeytail, Shepherd's Crook, Brompton, Newbury, Hammered Newbury, Reeded, Hinton, Regency, Avon and Art Deco designs. Most are handed, and the spindle length varies by design, so check the product page against your gearbox before ordering.

Espagnolette Window Fasteners: Questions

Will an espagnolette handle fit my uPVC window?

From The Anvil espagnolette handles have slim fixing plates and can be fitted to most window types, including uPVC and timber. Check the spindle length and fixing centres of your old handle against the product page.

Do I need a left or right hand fastener?

Some From The Anvil fasteners and espagnolettes are handed. Stand inside the room looking out: if the window is hinged on the left, you need a left hand handle, and if it is hinged on the right, you need a right hand handle. Each product page says whether it is handed.
