Locking Casement Window Handles by From The Anvil

From The Anvil locking window handles are casement fasteners with a lock built in, so the window cannot be opened until the handle is unlocked. Most lock by way of a grub screw, and many are night-venting, which means they can be locked shut or locked slightly open to let in some air.

They come in the same designs as From The Anvil door handles, including Avon, Brompton, Newbury, Reeded, Hinton, Monkeytail, Peardrop and Art Deco, so your windows can match the rest of the house. A casement window usually needs a fastener to hold it shut and a stay to hold it open, so choose casement stays and casement fasteners in the same design and finish, or choose espagnolette handles if your window has an espagnolette gearbox.

  • Night-vent locking fasteners that lock closed and in vent positions

Locking Window Handles: Questions

What is a night-vent window handle?

A night-vent fastener can be locked in the closed position and also in one or two slightly open positions, so the window can stay locked while letting in some air.

Do I need a left or right hand fastener?

Some From The Anvil fasteners and espagnolettes are handed. Stand inside the room looking out: if the window is hinged on the left, you need a left hand handle, and if it is hinged on the right, you need a right hand handle. Each product page says whether it is handed.
