Steel windows have a thin profile, so standard timber window furniture often does not fit. From The Anvil makes a steel window range with an offset backplate to suit the slim frames, supplied with M5 machine screws rather than wood screws.

The range includes 8 and 10 inch stays in Avon, Newbury, Reeded and Monkeytail designs, matching night-vent locking fasteners and locking stay pins, so you can fit out a steel window to match the From The Anvil door handles in the rest of the house.

Will standard window stays fit a steel window?

Often not, because steel frames are much thinner than timber. From The Anvil steel window stays have an offset backplate to suit the thin profile and are fixed with M5 machine screws.

Can I lock steel window handles?

Yes. The steel window fasteners in this range are night-vent locking, so they can be locked closed or slightly open, and locking stay pins are available too.
