From The Anvil Pewter Door Handles on Backplate

Pewter Patina Lever Handles on Backplate

Pewter Patina is a soft grey, hand-forged finish that suits characterful homes, oak and natural timber doors, and painted doors in heritage colours. From The Anvil makes it from a durable steel base that goes through an accelerated ageing process to create its dark patina.

Pewter Patina is also one of the finishes From The Anvil recommends for damp conditions, so it can be used on internal and external doors. For a slightly darker look, Antique Pewter is made on a solid brass base, plated, patinated and hand rubbed. Choose lock door handles for a sash lock or deadlock, latch door handles for a tubular latch, bathroom door handles with a built-in turn, euro lock door handles for a euro cylinder, or multipoint door handles for uPVC and composite doors.

Pewter Door Handles on Backplate: Questions

Is pewter patina suitable for external doors?

Yes. From The Anvil recommends Pewter Patina, along with Black, for damp conditions, so pewter lever handles on backplate can be used on front and back doors as well as internal doors.

What is the difference between Pewter Patina and Antique Pewter?

Pewter Patina is hand forged from steel and aged to a soft grey. Antique Pewter is a slightly darker finish made on a solid brass base, which is plated, patinated and hand rubbed for a vintage look.
