Balmoral Low Profile Door Knobs on Backplates

The Heritage Brass Balmoral range is the slimmest knob-on-plate design in the catalogue. A round knob with a 55mm projection sits on a 170 x 50mm plate that projects only 3mm from the door, giving a flush, understated finish that suits Shaker, contemporary and minimalist interiors as well as simple period doors. The spring mechanism sits within the door rather than the plate, which is what allows such a low profile.

Balmoral functions

BAL8510 for passage doors, BAL8500 with a keyhole for mortice sashlocks, BAL8530 with bathroom turn and release, and BAL8548 with a euro cylinder cut-out.

Check your door before ordering

Because the plate projects only 3mm, the spring mechanism sits inside the door. Balmoral needs a door at least 44mm thick and a 38mm bore hole to take the spring. Thinner doors should use the Victoria knob on plate instead. The 170 x 50mm plate carries a knob that projects 55mm.
