Oval door knobs are easier to turn than round ones because the shape gives the hand more leverage, which is why they have been a favourite in British homes for generations. This collection brings together the Heritage Brass oval designs: Mayfair, Suffolk (mortice and rim) and Chelsea.

Which oval knob?

Mayfair is a full oval on a 64mm screw-fixed rose. Suffolk is slimmer, on a 56mm rose, and comes as a mortice or rim knob. Chelsea is elongated with an 81mm projection on a concealed rose.

Latch choice

Suffolk and Chelsea are sprung on one side (standard or lightly sprung 76mm latch). Mayfair is unsprung (76mm heavy duty latch).
