Heritage Brass Traditional Door Pull Handles

Classic Period Pull Handles for Traditional Doors

For period properties the right pull handle should look as though it has always been there. This collection brings together the traditional door pull handles in the Heritage Brass range, from the turned Avon and the shapely Henley to the Durham, the cranked pull and handles mounted on classic backplates.

Design and Style

Traditional pulls use softened, rounded grips, turned collars and generous bases that sit comfortably on Victorian, Edwardian and Georgian panelled doors. Antique brass and matt bronze give an aged, heritage look, while polished brass delivers the bright finish found in grand townhouses.

Fixing Options

In this collection, bolt through handles fix to one side of the door with bolts passing through from the other face, back to back sets fit a matching handle to both faces using a single set of connecting bolts (made to order by M.Marcus, typically around 6 weeks), face fix handles screw directly to the surface of the door and backplate models screw to the face of the door through the plate. M.Marcus can also make secret fix versions of several of these designs to order, where the fixings are completely hidden; contact our team for a quote. Fit a push plate on the opposite face to cover the bolt heads neatly.

Finishes

Available in antique brass, satin brass, polished brass, matt bronze, polished chrome, satin nickel, polished nickel and satin chrome. Heritage Brass finishes are matched across door handles, pull handles and finger plates, so you can specify one finish throughout a room or a whole house.

Where to Use Them

Specify these on internal panelled doors, pantry and cellar doors, period shop fronts and listed buildings where authentic detailing matters.

Why Choose Heritage Brass

As a specialist ironmonger, Trade Door Handles supplies the Heritage Brass door furniture range from M.Marcus. We choose solid brass pull handles because they last: the metal is dense, dimensionally stable and takes a far better finish than cheaper alloys. Delivery

Stock items are usually delivered within 2-3 working days across the UK. Back to back sets are made to order by M.Marcus, so please allow a lead time of around 6 weeks for those items.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which traditional pull handle suits a Victorian door?

The V3960 Henley and V1169 Avon suit Victorian and Edwardian doors particularly well thanks to their shaped grips and turned detailing.

Do traditional pull handles come on a backplate?

Yes. The V1162 and V1165 Avon are mounted on long backplates, which also protect the door surface from fingermarks.

Complete the door with a matching push plate from our finger plates and push plates range, compare every design in our Heritage Brass door pull handles, or browse our full selection of door pull handles from all leading brands.
