The Victoria is the classic round brass door knob, with a gently domed face and a turned neck, and it is the most traditional choice for a rim lock on a Victorian or cottage door. No. These are rim knobs for a rim lock fixed to the face of the door. For a latch set into the door edge, choose the mortice version from the Victoria range or our Heritage Brass mortice knobs.

What rim lock should I use?

Any traditional rim lock or rim latch with a standard knob spindle. Choose a lock with a keep that suits the frame, and a finish that matches the knob.
