This York Security British Standard 5 lever deadlock is kitemarked to BS3621 and adds key-operated security to external doors. It has a single deadbolt, locked and unlocked by key, and is most often fitted below a night latch on front doors so the door is double locked when you leave. Check your insurance policy wording to confirm the locks it requires.

Finish

The matt black (black enamel) faceplate lets the door edge disappear alongside black handles, black hinges and black iron door furniture, instead of flashing a bright brass or chrome plate when the door is open. The finish is applied to the visible faceplate and strike; the colour of the lock case itself may vary.
