Heavy Duty Mortice Bathroom Locks

A bathroom lock is a mortice lock with a latch worked by the handle and a privacy bolt worked by a bathroom thumbturn and release. From The Anvil makes heavy duty bathroom locks in 2 1/2 inch and 3 inch sizes, for use with its 57mm centre bathroom lever handles.

They are CERTIFIRE approved (certificate CF5531), fire tested to FD-20/30/60, performance tested against BS EN 12209, and UKCA and CE marked. A 5 inch horizontal bathroom lock suits knob sets.

What do I need for a bathroom door?

You need a bathroom lock, a pair of bathroom lever handles or knobs, and a bathroom thumbturn and release. If you would rather keep a standard latch, fit a tubular mortice latch and a separate tubular deadbolt worked by a thumbturn.

Can these locks be used on fire doors?

Many can. From The Anvil sash locks, deadlocks, latches and bathroom locks marked CERTIFIRE (certificate CF5531) are fire tested to FD-20/30/60. Intumescent packs rated FD60 are also available for each lock type.
