The From The Anvil Night-Vent Locking Peardrop Fastener - LH in Black is a Peardrop casement fastener, sometimes called a cockspur handle, which holds a casement window shut against the frame. It is sold individually. It is night-venting, so it can be locked closed or slightly open to let in some air. It locks by way of a grub screw. This is the left hand version: standing inside looking out, a window hinged on the left needs a left hand handle.

Product Features

• Designed to fit casement windows and match the peardrop window stays in the range.
• The handle is night venting and can be locked in the open position as well as the closed position allowing some ventilation.
• The product is handed and therefore care needs to be taken when choosing the correct hand. From the inside view, if your window is hinged on the left then a left-hand fastener is required.
• The fastener has a locking mechanism by way of a grub screw.
• Suitable for use with weather-stripped windows.
• Supplied with matching SS wood screws.

About the Design

Our range of peardrop fasteners are simple in design and offer a traditional looking product.

Black Finish

Our classic Black finish is the perfect choice for those looking to make a bold statement. This finish is best suited to traditional properties and interiors, and looks fantastic when paired with neutral colourways and natural materials such as timber, stone and tile.

Our Black products have a distinctive, subtle sheen; hand forged from mild steel this finish are extremely low maintenance, offering excellent corrosion resistance and durability as a result of being powder coated, then baked in a high temperature oven during the final stages of manufacturing. An extremely low maintenance finish, ideal for use in kitchens and bathrooms, or externally where damp conditions are expected.

Other Finishes

This Night-Vent Locking Peardrop Fastener - LH is also available in Antique Pewter, Beeswax, Pewter Patina, Polished Brass, Polished Chrome and Satin Chrome. See every finish in From The Anvil casement fasteners.

Care & Maintenance

An extremely low maintenance finish, ideal for use in kitchens and bathrooms, or externally where damp conditions are expected.

An oily cloth can be used to wipe over the finish from time to time to remove any harmful deposits that build up on the surface of your product, this will also aid protection against any environmental elements.

To increase the mechanical life expectancy of your products, we recommend regular oiling of all moving parts using our '3-in-1 Oil' (92337). This process is also highly recommended during initial installation.

For any minor scratches that may occur with general wear and tear of your product, we offer a durable 'Black Touch Up Paint' (73101) if required.

Matching Hardware

Pair this fastener with matching casement stays in the same design and finish, and add a locking stay pin to secure the stay. For espag windows, see espagnolette handles. Browse all black window handles.
