From The Anvil Brass Sash Window Fasteners

Brass Sash Window Catches and Fasteners

Brass sash window fasteners suit period sash windows. From The Anvil makes them in Aged Brass and Polished Brass, which are unlacquered living finishes that darken over time, and in Satin Brass and Burnished Brass, which have a clear matt lacquer for protection.

Brighton fasteners screw down to pull the meeting rails together. Quadrant, Fitch and sash hook fasteners lock by way of a grub screw, and the quadrant and hook fasteners have a thin keep for narrow top rails. Every fastener is sold individually and supplied with matching stainless steel wood screws.

Brass Sash Window Fasteners: Questions

Will brass sash fasteners tarnish?

Aged Brass and Polished Brass are unlacquered, so they darken over time and can be polished. Satin Brass and Burnished Brass are lacquered.

Which sash fasteners lock?

The quadrant, Fitch and sash hook fasteners lock by way of a grub screw. The Brighton fasteners screw down to hold the sashes together but have no separate lock.
