From The Anvil Sash Window Hooks

Sash Hook Fasteners for Narrow Rails

A sash hook fastener swings a hook into its keep to hold the two sashes together. From The Anvil makes its hook fasteners with a thin fixing keep, which makes them a good choice where the top rail is narrow.

They lock by way of a grub screw and come in a plain design and with Beehive or Prestbury knobs, so they match the door and cabinet knobs in those ranges. A sash window is usually finished with a fastener on the meeting rails and a pair of sash lifts on the bottom rail, with locking sash stops if you need to restrict opening.

Sash Window Hooks: Questions

When should I use a sash hook fastener?

A hook fastener has a thin keep, so it is a good choice for sash windows with a narrow top rail where a wider fastener will not fit.

Do sash hook fasteners lock?

Yes. From The Anvil sash hook fasteners lock by way of a grub screw.
