The From The Anvil Locking Art Deco Fastener - LH in Aged Brass is an Art Deco casement fastener, sometimes called a cockspur handle, which holds a casement window shut against the frame. It is sold individually. It locks by way of a grub screw. This is the left hand version: standing inside looking out, a window hinged on the left needs a left hand handle.

Product Features

• Designed to fit casement windows and to match the products in our Art Deco range.
• The product is handed and therefore care needs to be taken when choosing the correct hand. From the inside view, if your window is hinged on the left then a left-hand fastener is required and vice versa.
• Includes mortice and hook plates for different fitting options.
• The locking mechanism operates by way of grub screw.
• Suitable for use with weather-stripped windows.
• Supplied with matching SS wood screws.

About the Design

The Art Deco range combines timeless elegance with modern functionality. The clean, geometric styling of this range offers a touch of sophistication to any window.

Aged Brass Finish

A popular choice for Period homes and interiors; Our Aged Brass finish offers a characterful warmth and works beautifully, creating a real statement when used with deep, dark paint colours, and materials & textiles synonymous with luxury and abundance.

Manufactured from solid, unlacquered Brass, our Aged Brass products undergo an accelerated ageing process before surface areas are repolished, creating a striking contrast between the darker patina left around the edges and recesses, and brighter surface areas. As an unlacquered, 'living' finish Aged Brass will continue to oxidise, meaning it will darken over time. If the product becomes too dark or tarnished, it can be polished to restore the brighter finish on surface areas.

Other Finishes

This Locking Art Deco Fastener - LH is also available in Aged Bronze, Polished Brass, Polished Bronze, Polished Chrome and Polished Nickel. See every finish in From The Anvil casement fasteners.

Care & Maintenance

This finish will continue to oxidise and age as it is an unlacquered finish, meaning it will darken over time. If the product becomes tarnished or too dark, it can be restored to brighten the finish. We recommend polishing with a dry cloth or alternatively using our 'Brasso' (73102), which assists with the cleaning of solid brass products.

An oily cloth can be used to wipe over the finish from time to time to remove any harmful deposits that build up on the surface of your product, this will also aid protection against any environmental elements.

To increase the mechanical life expectancy of your products, we recommend regular oiling of all moving parts using our '3-in-1 Oil' (92337). This process is also highly recommended during initial installation.

Matching Hardware

Pair this fastener with matching casement stays in the same design and finish, and add a locking stay pin to secure the stay. For espag windows, see espagnolette handles. Browse all brass window handles.
