About the Avon Design

The simple, four-sided design of our Avon collection is created by hand with a series of hammer blows, and is well-suited to contemporary and traditional settings alike. See the full From The Anvil Avon range for matching door, window and cabinet hardware.

Aged Brass Finish

A popular choice for Period homes and interiors; Our Aged Brass finish offers a characterful warmth and works beautifully, creating a real statement when used with deep, dark paint colours, and materials & textiles synonymous with luxury and abundance.

Manufactured from solid, unlacquered Brass, our Aged Brass products undergo an accelerated ageing process before surface areas are repolished, creating a striking contrast between the darker patina left around the edges and recesses, and brighter surface areas. As an unlacquered, 'living' finish Aged Brass will continue to oxidise, meaning it will darken over time. If the product becomes too dark or tarnished, it can be polished to restore the brighter finish on surface areas.

Other Finishes

This Night-Vent Locking Avon Fastener is also available in Aged Bronze, Beeswax, Black, Pewter Patina, Polished Bronze, Polished Chrome, Polished Marine SS (316), Polished Nickel and Satin Marine SS (316). See every finish in From The Anvil casement fasteners.

Care & Maintenance

This finish will continue to oxidise and age as it is an unlacquered finish, meaning it will darken over time. If the product becomes tarnished or too dark, it can be restored to brighten the finish. We recommend polishing with a dry cloth or alternatively using our 'Brasso' (73102), which assists with the cleaning of solid brass products.

An oily cloth can be used to wipe over the finish from time to time to remove any harmful deposits that build up on the surface of your product, this will also aid protection against any environmental elements.

To increase the mechanical life expectancy of your products, we recommend regular oiling of all moving parts using our '3-in-1 Oil' (92337). This process is also highly recommended during initial installation.

Matching Hardware

Pair this fastener with matching casement stays in the same design and finish, and add a locking stay pin to secure the stay. For espag windows, see espagnolette handles. Browse all brass window handles. The From The Anvil Avon range has matching door handles and cabinet hardware.
