From The Anvil Polished Nickel Door Knobs

Polished Nickel Mortice and Rim Knobs on Solid Brass

Polished Nickel is bright and reflective with warm undertones, and suits contemporary and traditional homes. From The Anvil applies a single plating on solid brass, so warm, brassy undertones show through, giving a softer look than chrome.

Polished Nickel knobs come in Brompton, Heavy Beehive, Beehive, Mushroom, Prestbury, Elmore, Brockworth, Tewkesbury, Ball and Oval designs. Most designs are mortice/rim knob sets, supplied as loose parts so you can build them to suit your door: use both roses for a mortice knob on a mortice latch or lock, or one rose for a rim knob on a rim lock. The majority of From The Anvil mortice and rim knobs are unsprung, so they rely on the spring in the lock or latch to return the knob. Check each product page, and From The Anvil recommends a 3, 4 or 5 inch heavy duty latch or lock.

Polished Nickel Door Knobs: Questions

What is the difference between Polished Nickel and Polished Chrome?

Both are plated onto solid brass. From The Anvil applies a single plating for Polished Nickel, so warm, brassy undertones show through. Polished Chrome has a cooler, very high sheen.

Can polished nickel knobs be used as rim knobs?

Most are mortice/rim knob sets supplied as loose parts, so they can be built with one rose for a rim lock. The Elmore, Brockworth, Tewkesbury and Ball designs are mortice knob sets.
