Heritage Brass Cabinet Edge Pulls

Solid Brass Edge Pull Handles for Kitchens and Furniture

Heritage Brass cabinet edge pulls by M.Marcus are edge pull handles that fit over the top or side edge of a door or drawer, giving a near handleless look with a neat finger pull. They suit modern kitchens, wardrobes, bathroom units and fitted furniture. There are 183 to choose from, in four profiles, three lengths and 10 finishes, all made from solid brass. They are part of the Heritage Brass kitchen and cabinet hardware range.

Choose Your Edge Pull: EP, EPR, EPT or EPTR

  • EP edge pulls are 38mm wide and 3mm thick, and top fixing. Allow a 3.5mm gap between drawers, or cut a 3mm recess for flush fitting. A wider 68mm EP is also made.
  • EPR edge pulls are 40mm wide and 3mm thick, and countersunk. Allow a 3.5mm gap between drawers, or cut a 3mm recess for flush fitting.
  • EPT edge pulls are 38mm wide and a slim 1.6mm thick, and top fixing. Allow a 2mm gap between drawers, or cut a 1.6mm recess for flush fitting.
  • EPTR edge pulls are 44mm wide and 1.6mm thick, and are fitted from the back of the cabinet. Allow a 2mm gap between drawers, or cut a 1.6mm recess for flush fitting.

The EP and EPR designs are also made in a hammered finish, for a textured look that matches Heritage Brass hammered pull handles and hammered cupboard knobs.

Lengths and Sizes

Every profile comes in 50mm, 100mm and 200mm lengths. A 50mm edge pull suits small drawers and wall cupboard doors, 100mm suits standard kitchen drawers and doors, and 200mm gives a longer finger pull on wide drawers, pan drawers and tall doors. Use the size filter on this page to choose a length.

Finishes to Match the Rest of the House

Choose antique brass, satin brass, polished brass, matt bronze, matt black, polished chrome, satin chrome, polished nickel, satin nickel or unlacquered brass. Heritage Brass makes its door handles, window furniture and cabinet hardware in the same core finishes, so your edge pulls can match cupboard knobs, cabinet pull handles and door handles. Edge Pull Questions

What is an edge pull handle?
An edge pull handle, sometimes called a finger pull, fits over the top or side edge of a door or drawer. You pull the door open by the lip, so the front of the door stays clean for a near handleless look.

What is the difference between EP, EPR, EPT and EPTR edge pulls?
EP and EPR edge pulls are 3mm thick, at 38mm and 40mm wide. EP edge pulls are top fixing and EPR edge pulls are countersunk. EPT edge pulls are a slimmer 1.6mm and top fixing. EPTR edge pulls are 1.6mm thick and fitted from the back of the cabinet.

Do I need to leave a gap between drawers?
Yes. For EP and EPR edge pulls allow a 3.5mm gap, or cut a 3mm recess for flush fitting. For EPT and EPTR edge pulls allow a 2mm gap, or cut a 1.6mm recess.

What length edge pull should I choose?
50mm suits small drawers and doors, 100mm suits standard kitchen drawers and doors, and 200mm suits wide drawers and tall doors.

Do Heritage Brass edge pulls match their door handles?
Yes. Heritage Brass uses the same finishes across its door handles, window furniture and cabinet hardware, so a satin brass edge pull matches a satin brass door handle.

How to Fit Edge Pull Handles

1. Choose the profile. EP edge pulls are top fixing. EPR edge pulls are countersunk. EPT edge pulls are top fixing, and need a smaller gap. EPTR edge pulls are fitted from the back of the cabinet.

2. Leave a gap, or cut a recess. For EP and EPR, allow a 3.5mm gap between drawers, or cut a 3mm recess for flush fitting. For EPT and EPTR, allow a 2mm gap, or cut a 1.6mm recess.

3. Pick the length. 50mm suits small drawers and wall cupboard doors, 100mm suits standard kitchen drawers and doors, and 200mm gives a longer finger pull on wide drawers and tall doors.

4. Position it. On drawers, edge pulls usually go centred on the top edge. On doors, fit them on the top or side edge opposite the hinges.

Kitchens, wardrobes and furniture

Where to Use Edge Pulls

Handleless kitchens. Edge pulls give the clean look of a handleless kitchen, with a solid brass finger pull instead of a routed groove.

Wardrobes and bedroom furniture. Edge pulls keep wardrobe doors and drawer fronts flat, so nothing catches on clothes.

Mixing with other handles. Use edge pulls on drawers and cupboard knobs or cabinet pull handles on doors, in the same finish. See the full Heritage Brass kitchen and cabinet hardware range.

More Edge Pull Questions

Which edge pull is best for a slim gap between drawers?

The EPT and EPTR edge pulls need just a 2mm gap between drawers. EP and EPR edge pulls need a 3.5mm gap.

Can I fit an edge pull flush with the top of the drawer?

Yes. Cut a recess: 3mm for EP and EPR, or 1.6mm for EPT and EPTR. The edge pull then sits flush.

How are the different edge pulls fixed?

EP and EPT edge pulls are top fixing. EPR edge pulls are countersunk. EPTR edge pulls are fitted from the back of the cabinet.

Are edge pulls the same as finger pulls?

Yes, the names are often used for the same thing: a slim pull that fits over the edge of a door or drawer, so you open it with your fingertips.

Can I use edge pulls on doors as well as drawers?

Yes. On doors, fit them on the top or side edge opposite the hinges.

Do the hammered edge pulls come in every finish?

No. The hammered EP and EPR come in antique brass, matt bronze, polished brass, polished chrome, satin brass and satin nickel.
