Solid Brass Kitchen Cupboard Handles and Drawer Pull Handles

Heritage Brass kitchen and cabinet pull handles by M.Marcus are two-point pull handles for kitchen cupboard doors, drawers, wardrobes and fitted furniture. There are over 1,600 to choose from, in more than 50 designs, with fixing centres from 76mm up to 480mm. They are part of the wider Heritage Brass kitchen and cabinet hardware range.

Shop Cupboard Handles by Size

Pull handles are sized by their fixing centres (CTC), the distance between the centres of the two bolt holes. Shop the most popular kitchen handle sizes: 96mm kitchen handles, 128mm kitchen handles, 160mm kitchen handles, 192mm kitchen handles and 320mm long kitchen handles. You can also filter this page by size, including traditional imperial sizes of 76mm, 89mm, 101mm, 152mm, 203mm and 254mm, and 480mm for tall larder doors.

Replacing handles with different hole spacings? The Bridge design is made with dual centres of 128mm and 160mm, or 192mm and 224mm, so one handle fits either set of holes.

Popular Pull Handle Styles

Many designs are also made with a 16mm rose at each end, or on a contrasting backplate in dual finish matt bronze with satin brass or satin nickel.

Pull Handle Finishes That Match Your Doors and Windows

Choose from satin brass, polished brass, antique brass, matt bronze, matt black, satin rose gold, polished chrome, satin chrome, polished nickel, satin nickel and unlacquered brass. Heritage Brass makes its door handles, window furniture and cabinet hardware in the same core finishes, so satin brass kitchen handles match satin brass door handles and window fittings. Pair the handles with matching cupboard knobs on wall units and cup handles on drawers.

Choosing the Right Length

As a rough guide, 96mm to 160mm handles suit most kitchen wall and base cupboard doors, 192mm to 256mm handles suit wide drawers and pan drawers, and 320mm or 480mm handles suit tall larder and wardrobe doors. For replacement handles, measure between the centres of your existing holes and choose the same size so there is no new drilling. Each pull handle comes with four M4 bolts, two at 25mm and two at 40mm thread length, to suit different door and drawer front thicknesses. The bolts fit from the back of the door into the handle.

Kitchen Pull Handle Questions

What size cupboard handles do I need?
Measure the distance between the centres of the two holes on the back of the door or drawer. This is the centre to centre (CTC) size. Choose a pull handle with the same CTC so it fits the existing holes. For new kitchens, 128mm and 160mm are the most popular sizes.

What is the difference between 96mm, 128mm and 160mm handles?
The number is the distance between the two fixing holes. 96mm handles suit small doors and drawers, 128mm handles suit standard wall and base units, and 160mm handles give a longer grip on larger doors and drawers.

Are 101mm and 102mm handles the same as 4 inch handles?
Yes. 101mm and 102mm are both 4 inch fixing centres. The same applies to 152mm (6 inch), 203mm (8 inch) and 254mm (10 inch). Check the exact size on the product, as it varies slightly by design.

Can I fit these handles to wardrobes?
Yes. Heritage Brass cabinet pull handles suit wardrobes, bedroom furniture, dressers and bathroom units as well as kitchens. Longer handles of 192mm and above are easier to use on tall wardrobe doors.

What fixings come with Heritage Brass pull handles?
Each pull handle comes with four M4 bolts, two at 25mm and two at 40mm thread length, so they suit a range of door and drawer front thicknesses.

Do Heritage Brass pull handles match their door handles?
Yes. Heritage Brass uses the same finishes across its door handles, window furniture and cabinet hardware, so a satin brass pull handle matches a satin brass door handle and window fitting.

Fixing centres, size, bolts and finish

How to Measure for Kitchen Cupboard Handles

1. Measure the fixing centres. Take the old handle off, or look at the back of the door, and measure from the centre of one bolt hole to the centre of the other. That is the CTC size. Measure in millimetres, as many older handles use imperial sizes such as 101mm (4 inch), 152mm (6 inch) or 203mm (8 inch).

2. Match the size. Choose a handle with the same CTC and it will fit the existing holes. Popular sizes are 96mm, 128mm, 160mm, 192mm and 320mm. If your holes are 128mm or 160mm, or 192mm or 224mm, the Bridge handle has dual centres to fit either.

3. Check the door thickness. Each handle comes with M4 bolts in 25mm and 40mm thread lengths. Measure the thickness of the door or drawer front to choose the right bolt.

4. Choose the finish. Pick a finish that matches your door handles, taps and lighting, such as satin brass, antique brass, matt black or polished chrome. Heritage Brass door handles and window furniture are made in the same core finishes as the cabinet pull handles.

Cupboards, drawers, larders and wardrobes

Which Size Handle Goes Where

Kitchen cupboards. 96mm to 160mm pull handles suit most wall and base units. Many kitchens use one size throughout, or a longer size on drawers for a balanced look.

Drawers and pan drawers. Wide drawers look best with a longer handle, such as 192mm or 256mm, and are easier to open with a full hand grip.

Larders, wardrobes and tall units. 320mm and 480mm handles suit tall doors, where a short handle would look lost. Fit them vertically at a comfortable height.

Mixing with knobs and cup handles. Use matching cupboard knobs on wall units and cup handles on drawers for a traditional kitchen, in the same finish as your pull handles. See the full Heritage Brass kitchen and cabinet hardware range.

More Cupboard Handle Questions

Can I replace handles without drilling new holes?

Yes, if you choose a new handle with the same fixing centres as the old one. Measure between the centres of the two existing holes and choose that size.

What if my holes are a size you do not list?

Check the filters for the imperial sizes (76mm, 89mm, 101mm, 152mm, 203mm and 254mm). If your size is not there, you may need to fill the old holes and drill new ones, or send us a photo and we will help.

Should kitchen handles go vertically or horizontally?

Handles on cupboard doors usually go vertically near the opening edge, and handles on drawers usually go horizontally and centred. It is a design choice, so be consistent across the kitchen.

Are the handles sold singly?

Most Heritage Brass pull handles are sold individually, so order one for each door or drawer. Check the unit of sale on each product page.

Can I use cabinet pull handles on internal doors?

Cabinet pull handles are fixed with two small bolts, so they are not designed for busy internal doors. For doors, use Heritage Brass door pull handles, which have heavier fixings.

What is the difference between a T-bar and a bar handle?

A bar handle is a long bar fixed at both ends. A T-bar handle has a bar that sits on two small posts, and the name is often used for any slim bar handle.
