Heritage Brass Reeded Beehive Rim Knobs

Reeded Beehive Door Knobs for Rim Locks

The Reeded beehive knob is built up in stepped, reeded rings, a pattern used on door knobs in Victorian and Edwardian houses. These are the rim versions, made by M.Marcus from solid brass for fitting to a rim lock on the face of the door. It is the largest of the three rim knobs, with an 87mm projection and a 60mm diameter, which gives a good grip. Browse all Heritage Brass rim knobs.

Finishes

Reeded rim knobs come in antique brass, satin brass, polished brass, matt bronze, polished chrome, polished nickel, satin chrome and satin nickel.

Rim Locks and Matching Hardware

Rim knobs need a rim lock or rim latch fixed to the face of the door. See our rim locks and latches to complete the set, and add a matching Heritage Brass escutcheon where the key enters from the other side of the door. If you need the same design for doors with a mortice latch, see Reeded beehive mortice and rim knobs.

Reeded Beehive Rim Knobs Questions

Will these knobs fit a mortice latch?

No. These are rim knobs for a rim lock fixed to the face of the door. For a latch set into the door edge, choose the mortice version from the Reeded beehive range or our Heritage Brass mortice knobs.

What rim lock should I use?

Any traditional rim lock or rim latch with a standard knob spindle. Choose a lock with a keep that suits the frame, and a finish that matches the knob.
