Reeded Beehive Door Knobs on Rose - Mortice and Rim Versions

The Reeded knob (V971) is the classic beehive door knob: a series of stepped rings rising to a flat crown, set on a matching reeded rose. With a 60mm diameter and 87mm projection it has real presence on Victorian and Edwardian four-panel doors and is one of the most popular period knobs we sell. It is available as a mortice knob (V971) for doors with a tubular latch or mortice lock, and as a rim knob (RIM-V971) for use with a surface-mounted rim lock.

Mortice (V971) or rim (RIM-V971)?

Order V971 if your latch or lock is let into the edge of the door. Order RIM-V971 if you have a box rim lock screwed to the face of the door, as found on many cottages, ledged and braced doors and older properties. Rim knobs are for rim locks only.

Specification

Reeded knob 60mm diameter with an 87mm projection, sprung on one side. Use the mortice version with a lightly sprung or standard 76mm tubular latch. Available in eight finishes including Polished Nickel and Satin Chrome.
