A stepped centre door knob sits on a tiered base that adds depth and shadow, so the knob reads well from the street on a large panelled front door. This collection brings together the two Heritage Brass stepped designs.

• V905 stepped round, 3 1/2 inch - knob 76mm, base 89mm, projection 80mm
• V890 stepped octagonal, 3 inch - knob 71mm, base 82mm, projection 83mm, also in unlacquered brass

Fitting a Centre Door Knob

A centre door knob is a fixed pull, so it does not turn or work a latch. It bolts through the middle rail of the door, usually at the centre of the door width and at about the same height as the lock, and is used alongside a nightlatch, sashlock or multipoint lock.
