How does a bathroom backplate handle work?

The backplate has a thumb turn on the inside to lock the door and an emergency release on the outside, used with a bathroom mortice lock.

Is the thumb turn included?

Bathroom backplate handles include the turn and release on the plate. The bathroom lock body is supplied separately.

Will bathroom handles match my other doors?

Yes. Each Sorrento design is also made as latch and lock versions in the same finishes.

Sorrento Bathroom Door Handles on Backplate

Sorrento Bathroom Lever Handles with Turn and Release

Sorrento bathroom door handles on backplate have a cut-out for a thumb turn and emergency release, for bathroom, en-suite and WC doors fitted with a bathroom lock. The turn locks the door from inside, and the release lets it be opened from outside in an emergency.
