This York Security British Standard 5 lever sash lock is kitemarked to BS3621, the standard most UK home insurers ask for on final exit doors. It latches with the handle and deadlocks with a key, which makes it the usual choice for back doors and single entrance doors where no other lock is fitted. Check your own insurance policy wording before choosing.

It suits lever lock handles with 8mm spindles and 57mm centres, and lever on rose handles with bolt through fixing. A fixing guide template is supplied to help you cut the mortice accurately.

Finish

Antique brass is an aged finish with darker bronze tones and brighter brass highlights, sealed with a clear protective lacquer. It is chosen to match the antique brass door handles, knobs and hinges in the M.Marcus range. Antique finishes vary slightly in tone from piece to piece, which is a characteristic of the finish rather than a fault. The finish is applied to the visible faceplate and strike; the colour of the lock case itself may vary.
