The Beeswax Privacy Latch Set has been thoughtfully engineered with both practicality and aesthetics in mind. Our latch sets offer a simple fastening option for single side access e.g. cupboard or wardrobe doors. This hand forged design features a square fixing plate which highlights its rounded ends. The latch bar is restricted by the keep and can be lifted to open the latch. Reversible latch suitable for use on left or right handed doors. Supplied with matching SS wood screws.. Beeswax is our most traditional finish with a soft, natural aesthetic featuring subtle blue and deep red ochre tones which are preserved in the steel during the manufacturing process; this finish is ideally suited to older, traditional dwellings and cottage interiors. Beeswax products are hand forged from mild steel. The traditional beeswax with subtle blue and ochre undertones finish used on the From The Anvil Privacy Latch Set in Beeswax is applied by skilled craftspeople to ensure a consistent, durable result that maintains its character over time.

Care & Maintenance

Due to temperature changes or packaging, a Beeswax product may occasionally show signs of a white bloom upon opening. This can be buffed with a soft cloth to remove. Although this finish already offers a very strong barrier against environmental conditions, we recommend re-applying a small amount of our 'Maintenance Wax' (33002) periodically with a cloth or brush which provides additional protection to the surface of your product and further protects this from any harmful external elements. To increase the mechanical life expectancy of your products, we recommend regular oiling of all moving parts using our '3-in-1 Oil' (92337). This process is also highly recommended during initial installation. *Please note that where possible we recommend using our External Beeswax products (in place of standard Beeswax) in areas of your property where damp conditions are expected such as kitchens and bathrooms. Light surface rust may appear if using our standard Beeswax finish in damp conditions, but can be removed with ease using 00 grade wire wool, followed by an application of 'Maintenance Wax' (33002).
