The Heritage Brass Beehive Mortice Knob on Reeded Plate pairs one of the most recognisable period knob shapes with a finely reeded (ribbed) backplate. The stepped beehive knob has a 75mm projection and sits on a 200 x 42mm plate, giving a tall, elegant look on panelled doors in Victorian, Edwardian and 1930s homes as well as modern interiors that want a crafted, tactile detail. The design is registered by M.Marcus (Design Registration No. 6432444) and every piece is made from solid brass.

Four versions of the Beehive plate

V9500 has a standard keyhole for a mortice sashlock, V9510 is a plain latch plate for passage doors, V9530 carries a bathroom turn and release, and V9548 has a euro cylinder cut-out. Fit the latch version to living rooms and hallways, the bathroom version to the bathroom and en-suite, and the lock version to bedrooms or studies so every door carries the same Beehive design.

The reeded plate is 200mm tall, 42mm wide and projects 9mm, and the beehive knob stands 75mm proud of the plate. The knob is sprung on one side, so pair it with a lightly sprung or standard 76mm (3 inch) tubular latch rather than a heavy duty latch.
