Heritage Brass Cabinet Catches

Brass Cupboard Latches and Showcase Catches

Heritage Brass cabinet catches by M.Marcus are solid brass cupboard catches made to be seen, for kitchen dressers, larders, display cabinets and period furniture. There are two designs, each in 10 finishes, so the catch can match the knobs and handles on the same cupboard. They are part of the Heritage Brass kitchen and cabinet hardware range.

Cupboard Latch with Oval Turn

A brass cupboard latch, or cupboard turn latch, with an oval turn on the front and a keep on the frame. Turn the oval to hold the door shut. It suits traditional kitchen cupboards, larders, dressers and built-in cupboards where you want a period look. The latch is 53mm long and 40mm wide, with a 53mm by 17mm keep, and it projects 32mm from the door.

Showcase Catch (Hook and Plate)

A small hook and plate showcase catch for glazed display cabinets, bookcases and furniture doors, where a neat, discreet catch is needed. It measures 55mm by 37mm.

Finishes to Match Your Knobs and Handles

Both catches come in antique brass, matt black, satin brass, polished brass, polished chrome, matt bronze, satin nickel, polished nickel, satin chrome and satin rose gold. Match them to cupboard knobs, cup handles or cabinet pull handles in the same finish. Heritage Brass makes its door handles and window furniture in the same core finishes too. Cabinet Catch Questions

What is a cupboard turn latch?
A cupboard turn latch has a turn on the front of the door and a keep on the frame. Turning it holds the door shut. It is a traditional catch for kitchen cupboards, larders and dressers.

What is a showcase catch used for?
A showcase catch is a small catch for display cabinets, glazed bookcases and furniture doors. The Heritage Brass showcase catch is a hook and plate design.

Will the catch match my cupboard knobs?
Yes. Heritage Brass uses the same finishes across its cabinet catches, cupboard knobs, cup handles and pull handles, so a satin brass latch matches satin brass knobs.
