About the Polished Chrome finish

Polished chrome is a bright, cool, mirror finish. It is one of the most popular door handle finishes in the UK and suits contemporary homes, white doors and rooms with chrome taps and fittings.

Latches, Escutcheons and Matching Hardware

Mortice knobs need a tubular latch with a long enough backset for your knuckles to clear the door frame. See our latches for mortice knobs, or a 4 or 5 inch long backset latch for larger knobs. Add matching Heritage Brass escutcheons on lock doors, and choose from our polished chrome and nickel York locks and latches so the forend matches. Match hinges and accessories from the Heritage Brass polished chrome door furniture range.

Caring for the polished chrome finish

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry to avoid water spots. Do not use abrasive cleaners, which will scratch the mirror surface.

Polished Chrome Mortice Knob Questions

Are mortice knobs sold as a pair?

Yes. Heritage Brass mortice knobs are supplied as a pair with a spindle and fixings. The latch or lock is sold separately.

Should I choose knobs on rose or on backplate?

Knobs on rose suit doors with a tubular latch or where the keyhole has its own escutcheon. Knobs on backplate put the keyhole, bathroom turn or euro cut-out on the plate and cover old fixing holes.
