About the Satin Nickel finish

Satin nickel is a brushed silver finish with a slightly warmer tone than chrome. It hides fingerprints well and works in both modern and traditional homes, especially with grey, white and pale painted doors.

Latches, Escutcheons and Matching Hardware

Mortice knobs need a tubular latch with a long enough backset for your knuckles to clear the door frame. See our latches for mortice knobs, or a 4 or 5 inch long backset latch for larger knobs. Add matching Heritage Brass escutcheons on lock doors, and choose from our satin chrome and nickel York locks and latches so the forend matches. Match hinges and accessories from the Heritage Brass satin nickel door furniture range.

Caring for the satin nickel finish

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can change the brushed grain.

Satin Nickel Mortice Knob Questions

Are mortice knobs sold as a pair?

Yes. Heritage Brass mortice knobs are supplied as a pair with a spindle and fixings. The latch or lock is sold separately.

Should I choose knobs on rose or on backplate?

Knobs on rose suit doors with a tubular latch or where the keyhole has its own escutcheon. Knobs on backplate put the keyhole, bathroom turn or euro cut-out on the plate and cover old fixing holes.
