This CE marked tubular latch from the M.Marcus Heritage Brass range is a straightforward latch for internal doors that do not need locking. CE marking means the latch has been tested and declared against the relevant European standard, which is why CE marked latches are often chosen for commercial projects and specified door sets. Always check the door manufacturer's requirements if the latch is going on a fire door.

The 4" case gives an 82mm backset, setting the handle well in from the edge on wide stiles and period doors.

Finish

The polished brass faceplate is lacquered to hold its shine. Wipe it with a soft, non-abrasive cloth and avoid metal polish or aerosol cleaners, which break down the lacquer. The finish is applied to the visible faceplate and strike; the colour of the lock case itself may vary.
